These rice cakes are used in Tteokguk, a traditional Korean New Year's dish. Made from 100% pure rice, they boast a more natural and superior flavor. Since they are made from 100% pure rice, they contain no additives or unnecessary ingredients. They are thinly sliced into oval shapes, which is the traditional form of tteok in Korea. They are chewy and absorb the soup well. Soft and resilient when chewed, the rice cakes become tender and soak up the soup's flavor when simmered in hot soup.
