Meals just aren't the same without soup, are they?
If there's no soup, at least some hot water instead...
[Egg soup, egg broth, Gyeran-tang, Gyeran-guk]
1. Prepare the broth
Once the water starts to boil, immediately remove the kombu, then boil the dried anchovies for another 5 minutes to make the broth.
2. Add ingredients
Add the onions and heat further.
If you chop green onions and add them here, it becomes onion soup.
If you add rehydrated dried pollock, stir-fried in sesame oil, and tofu here, you can adapt it into various dishes like Bugeo-guk.
3. Finish
Pour in the beaten egg, stir gently, turn off the heat, and season with salt to taste. It's done.
4. Egg Soup Completed
Light and refreshing.
Tip: When adding the beaten egg, adding a single drop of sesame oil is said to help it spread nicely without clumping.
