"Clam Kalguksu" is a Korean dish with the rich umami of fresh clams. The rich broth and flavorful soup satisfy both your heart and stomach. The chewy kalguksu (handmade noodles) blend with the soup, providing a satisfying experience with every bite. The gentle aroma of clams fills your mouth in this simple yet profound dish, bringing a taste of Korean home cooking. It's a truly blissful dish that warms both your heart and body on a cold day.
I was making do with what I had at home, but today I finally bought some vegetables. They were all very cheap. The key ingredients for today's dish are clams and noodles. Bring about 500-550cc of water to a boil in a pot. Add about 1 teaspoon of beef Dashida and bring to a boil. (As a rule, Dashida should be added before the water boils.)
1. As shown in the photo, julienne the ingredients to match the noodles. Once boiling, add the noodles (somen, hiyamugi, kishimen, udon, or your preference), clams, carrots, zucchini, onions, grated chili, and grated garlic in that order.
2. Just before serving, add the beaten egg, top with nori, and drizzle with a little sesame oil, then...
3. Your clam kalguksu is complete. Adjust the soup's seasoning with salt and soy sauce.
