Recipe for Braised Dried Cod
Yeoreobun (everyone~), saranghaeyo~~ (I love you~).
1. For two large whole dried cod, use scissors to cut off the fins and tail. Grab and remove the gills with your hands. Cleanly remove the internal organs.
2. Cut into appropriate sizes and place in a pot.
3. Add water (4 cups), dark soy sauce (1/2 cup), chili powder (3), sugar (3), salad oil (3), grated garlic (2), ginger powder (0.3), and pepper (0.3), then cook over high heat for about 30 minutes.
(It's better to shake the pot while cooking instead of poking the fish with chopsticks.)
4. Skim off any foam that rises. When the liquid has reduced, add starch syrup (3) to give it a glaze, and it's done.
5. The braised whole dried cod is complete.
6. Frozen cod can also be used.
