Toraji Namul: A Gentle Dish for Mind and Body When You Have No Appetite

When you have no appetite, Toraji (bellflower root) Namul is a dish that brings comfort to your mind and body. Toraji root is characterized by its refreshing aroma and unique texture, and its deliciousness is further enhanced when prepared as namul. The toraji root is blanched briefly, then combined with seasonings such as dried daikon radish, soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar, allowing the flavors to permeate thoroughly. As a result, the toraji root becomes imbued with a sweet and sour umami, stimulating the appetite. Furthermore, while it has a light texture as namul, it is also highly nutritious and is expected to have a gentle effect on the digestive system. Its vibrant appearance also brightens up the dining table. When you have no appetite or are feeling unwell, please try Toraji Namul to soothe your mind and body.
