Saba Daikon (Mackerel and Radish Stew)
A traditional Korean fish dish, mackerel and daikon with concentrated umami flavor.
"Saba Daikon" is a traditional Korean fish dish that condenses the rich flavor of mackerel. The unique taste and spiciness of mackerel blend exquisitely, stimulating the appetite. Seasoned with strong flavors, it pairs perfectly with rice. With each bite, you'll feel the tender, juicy fish, making it an ideal healthy meal. The rich umami spreads in your mouth, allowing you to fully savor the charm of Korean cuisine. Made with fresh mackerel and prepared with a traditional recipe, "Saba Daikon" offers the ultimate in deliciousness.
Today, I tried making simmered mackerel and daikon radish.

1. Cut 2 mackerels and 2 handfuls of daikon radish into appropriate sizes and place them in a pot.

2. Pour in the sauce.
Sauce: Mix 1 and 1/2 cups water, 3 tablespoons dark soy sauce, 2 tablespoons chili powder, 1 tablespoon salt, 2 tablespoons sugar, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon grated garlic, 0.5 tablespoon ginger powder, and 0.3 tablespoon pepper.

3. Bring to a boil over high heat, then add chili peppers and green onions, and it's done.
4. Saba Daikon is complete.
5. When reheating leftovers in the microwave, cover them with a lid or plastic wrap.
