Pork galbi, and beef galbi-jjim (braised short ribs) are all cooked in the same way, meaning if you can cook one, you can cook them all.
1. Beef shank is tough, so it takes a long time to tenderize (over an hour).
2. Soy sauce 6, miso 2, sugar 2, chopped green onions 2, grated garlic 1, ground sesame seeds 1, sesame oil 1, pepper.
3. Add daikon radish, potatoes, and carrots. (When braising, chamfering the edges helps prevent them from losing their shape.)
4. Add rice cakes at the end... ^^ The rim of the pot is a bit unsightly.
5. The braised beef shank is complete.
6. It would be nice to garnish with shredded egg crepe and ginkgo nuts, but since I don't have them, I'll use green onions as a substitute.
